The Hill County Democratic Party

Hill County Democratic Party to Consolidate Polling Locations for Runoff Elections

The Hill County Democratic Party is working diligently with the Hill County Elections Administrations to assure all voters will be able to vote in the safest manner possible for the July 14th Democratic Primary Runoff. Due to the Corona virus (COVID-19) the early voting period of June 29- July 10th (extended by Governor Abbott) will be held at the Hill County Exhibits Building, 205 Stadium Drive, Hillsboro, TX

This will allow for social distancing throughout the facility and will decrease the chances of infection in the County Courthouse. Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) will be available for all election workers, such as mask, gloves and sanitizers. All election workers will be required to sanitize and wash hands frequently and to sanitize equipment after each voter. Early voting dates and times are Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Closed July 4th for National Holiday.

For the safety of our seniors and the precautionary public health measures arising from the recent cases of the Corona virus. We are recommending every register voter that is 65 and older or disabled to please call the Hill County Elections Administration to request an application for vote by mail ballot. 254-582-4072. If you have already filed an annual application, you should receive a ballot for the runoff in July and the general election in November. Thursday, July 2, 2020 is the last day for the early voting clerk to receive applications for a ballot to be voted by mail.

Due to historical low voter turnout for runoff elections and for the safety and wellbeing of voters, the Hill County Democratic Party will consolidate several of the polling locations for the July 14, 2020 runoff election. Election hours 7:00 am -7:00 pm
